"NOS" = new, old stock that was never used.

Things to know about vintage capacitors:
Each vintage capacitor is measured and tested at the rated voltage with the data shown in the descriptions.
You'll know exactly what you are getting and the listings show in which applications they can be utilized in safely.
EXAMPLE: Some vintage capacitors are not safe to use at their rated voltage, however can be utilized at line level voltages (audio signal) with no high voltage , such as inside an electric guitar. See "Notes" for each capacitor listing.
With the case of electrolytic capacitors, each is properly reformed electrically, tested at the rated voltage for current leakage, (this is when dc voltage is applied, it's not supposed to pass current) then measured and then the overall health is analyzed with a high-end ESR meter.
All capacitors are sold 'as is' due to age, however are guaranteed to be 'as described'. Returns will be evaluated on a case by case scenario only for (unused unsoldered to) items after an approved request.
